Questions

Where are you based?

The Caravan Painting Co are static caravan spraying specialists based in Norwich, Norfolk in the East of England.

Do you work nationwide?

Yes – although we are based in Norwich, Norfolk; we work all over the UK to meet your static caravan painting needs.

Can You Paint a Static Caravan?

Yes, painting a static caravan can be done easily, and in a range of different colours by using a method of spray painting to ensure an even application and high endurance bonding between the paint and the caravan’s surface.

How to Paint Static Caravan Walls

Static caravan walls are relatively straightforward to paint – if you have the right knowhow and specialist equipment! Our professional spray painting teams are experts in their profession and receive extensive training in surface preparations, masking techniques and spray applied paint systems. We use industrial airless paint sprayers in combination with high-performance coating products to give the best finish possible.

What method of painting do you use?

We spray paint caravans because it’s much faster than traditional methods and gives a more uniform and even finish. By spraying you can achieve a ‘factory finish’, which is not possible with a roller.

Can You Paint the Outside of a Static Caravan?

Yes! Not only can we spray paint the exterior of a static caravan, but we can also respray external fixtures and fittings like the fascias, soffits, windows, doors and roofs. We can paint the outside of a static caravan to your colour choice, which can be close to your original colour, or a completely new shade. Try our colour visualiser to get an idea of what’s possible.

What sort of paint do you use?

We use a high-performance cladding coating that we spray apply using industrial airless paint sprayers.

How long does it take to paint a static caravan?

Usually, around 1-2 days depending on the areas that require painting.

Can You Spray Paint Static Caravan Window Frames?

Yes! Our UPVC window painting solution uses the latest technology in UPVC paint, allowing the paint to bond to the plastic rather than sticking to it. This ensures that the paint will not crack or peel as your window frames expand and retract through the seasons, our paint will move with the substrate. The paint systems we use have a life expectancy of at least 10 years so will give your windows and doors a new lease of life for years to come. We can spray anything from a single window to an entire static caravan with doors, windows, and fascias.

What paint colours are available?

Paint is available in virtually any colour!

What Does Airless Spray Painting Mean?

An airless sprayer pumps the paint under very high pressure via a specialised hose into a small hole in the nozzle of the sprayer. Airless spraying gives a smooth and even finish, which can withstand wear and tear as well as harmful corrosion effects.

Can You Spray Paint in Cold Weather?

Cold weather can make it difficult to spray paint. Paint will not stick to frosty surfaces, and even if it does, it may not cure properly. Other problems faced with painting in cold weather, include:

  • Paint becomes thicker and more difficult to apply (in extreme cold, it can even freeze!)
  • Spray gun may get clogged easily
  • Runs and drips are common
  • Colour uniformity can be poor
  • Damp can seep into uncured paint – this can cause stains and rust
  • We can advise you if the paint we are using for your project is suitable for particular temperatures.

Are you insured?

Yes, we’re fully insured and hold accreditations from several of the leading H&S schemes.
